About

I completed my medical degree and Psychiatry residency at University of California, San Francisco. I also received specialty training in Child/Adolescent Psychiatry at New York University. Although I no longer see children and adolescents, this training has provided a foundation in human development, working with families and interpersonal relationships that has been invaluable in my work with adults.

Since completion of my training in 2002, I have worked in academic psychiatry, student mental health at a major university, and community mental health at various sites. I am experienced in working with a diverse population of patients and all major psychiatric disorders. In addition, I have psychotherapy training and can assist patients in developing insights to change behaviors and thoughts that are interfering with their ability to function fully. My practice focuses on helping people reach their maximum potential in all aspects of their lives.
